Productive Work Force Through Project Completion In order for the athlete to successfully compete in the race he must give 100% effort from the beginning to the end in order to produce the win. The same principal applies to the work performed on a construction project. The MCA Contractor and their UA counterparts recognize this and know that 100% productivity and commitment to a project is what makes the difference in completion on time, budget, and the quality of the job. The labor agreement between MCA Firms and UA Local No. 162 reflects this principal. There are no paid holidays, sick days, or vacations. There are no worker classifications that have any paid non-working time. This includes foremen, general foremen, and stewards. There are no travel pay provisions. Local No. 162 members travel anywhere in the Local's jurisdiction on their own time and at their expense. Every hour worked on a project by a UA member is a productive hour.
