Legislative Database Initiative
Please fill out our survey for a new data base project being undertaken by
the Ohio Mechanical Contracting Industry, the State Legislative Advocate for the
Mechanical Contractors across the State of Ohio: Legislative Contact Survey
This database is being compiled for two purposes, first, it gives us a way to
show to our elected officials just how many people we represent and from where.
We can show them our true economic impact and perhaps a better picture of whom
they truly represent.
Secondly, this database is being complied so that we here at the chapter level,
as well as our state legislative coordinators, can have a good resource for contacting
our members in targeted areas for legislative action. Even if you are not excited
by the prospect of developing a close relationship with your elected officials,
this information will at least give us a contact if we need a quick email sent
from a constituent. It will also help us keep you informed as to what is going
on at the Statehouse in your name.
This session of the legislature will get rolling after the spring recess and time
is of the essence with this survey. Please help us by directing your non-bargaining
unit employees to this site to fill out the survey. Please stress to them
that filling out the survey does not commit them in any way if they are not interested
in participating, but the information is key to showing our strength to some times
misinformed officials.
We have been silent for far too long, given up far too much. Now is the time to
stand up and be counted. Now is the time to speak with one voice for the rights
and concerns of the Organized Mechanical Contracting Industry.
Please help any way that you can. Please encourage your employees to get involved.
If you have any questions, please contact Valerie
Dahlberg (Phone: 937-603-4605). Thanks so much!
